On December 6, CCTV’s two prime news programs—Morning News and News 30’— reported in great length that the National Ice Sports Training Center, a supporting venue for Beijing Winter Olympics, would be put into use soon, and in the video report, CDHORIZON’s participation in the construction of the center was shown in detail.

On July 30, 2015, as IOC President Thomas Bach announced that Beijing had won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, Beijing, a former host city of the 2008 Summer Olympics, set about preparing the “Winter Olympics”.

In the bid for Beijing Winter Olympics, few questions about the construction of the Olympic venues are raised by the IOC members. This is because that the infrastructure strength of China shown in the 2008 Olympic Games has impressed the whole world.

Shang Chenyang, the manager of CDHORIZON Beijing Store, introduced that the National Ice Sports Training Center reported by CCTV is one of the key projects undertaken CDHORIZON Beijing Store in 2022. From the completion of the main building to the interior decoration, and to the readiness for use right now, CDHORIZON has used more than 30 sets of equipment and assigned at least one employee staying on site to solve the technical problems arising in the construction at any time, which strongly guaranteed the progress and timely completion of the project.

As a service provider in China’s engineering construction field under Far East Horizon, since Beijing won the bid for 2022 Winter Olympic Games, CDHORIZON has been contributing to the construction of 9 major Beijing Winter Olympic venues and more than 20 supporting venues (institutes), with a total of nearly 2,000 equipment vehicles (times) input, providing services to Beijing, Chengde, Zhangjiakou and other host cities of the Beijing Olympic Games.

At present, CDHORIZON is racing against time to work on many projects such as the second phase of the China National Convention Center, the National Speed Skating Oval, the Wukesong Ice Sports Center, the Media Centers of Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, Chengde and Zhangjiakou and the Winter Olympic Village, etc.

Since this year, the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and many other objective factors has brought a lot of objective difficulties to some of the construction projects of CDHORIZON. Nonetheless, our technical service team, together with the general contractors of each project, has never yielded to any difficulty. Instead, we made every effort to overcome the external factors and improve the construction process and service efficiency, striving to ensure the completion of the national key projects on time and in quantity.
