Introduction:
This is one of the four "hospitals for peacetime and wartime” in response to the requirements of the Wuhan Municipal Government. From body construction in November 2020 to delivery to the owner in July 2021, we shortened the construction period by 2 more months and made remarkable contributions to the successful and on-time delivery of the project. The scheme is based on the body structures, such as strip beams or waferboards. Different beam and board structures determine the use interval. The larger the interval, the more materials saved. Under the premise of assuring safety, this practice saved materials and costs for the client essentially, and highlighted our strength in materials. Steel tubular and cuplock scaffolds have a low bearing capacity of 2t maximally, while the single support bearing capacity of a ringlock scaffold could reach 4t (φ48) or 9t (φ60). Therefore, the ringlock scaffold was used in combination with keels of varying strengths to realize different intervals of 1.5 or 1.8m, while most of the cuplock and steel tubular scaffolds could only support the interval of 0.9-1.2m. In addition, the large consumption results in increasing labor cost. Furthermore, it is faster to erect a ringlock scaffold in comparison with steel tubular and cuplock scaffolds. A steel tubular scaffold relies heavily on fasteners with insufficient integrity while ringlock scaffold is disk type with better performance as an integrity.
