Introduction:
The project involved over 10 grand cofferdams and more than 13,000t of materials, and adopted the pre-erection method and the PC pile sinking process to create a benchmarking cofferdam project of Horizon. We provided a temporary steel structure solution for the foundation pit excavation-support of the "cofferdam construction" in Huangmaohai Sea-crossing Channel, which is an important part in the westward expansion channel of Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and an important channel to connect the western Guangdong area. The 31km channel starts from Hezhou–Gaolan Port Expressway and ends at the crossing with the western coastal expressway. In cooperation with China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., CDHORIZON was responsible for the 18 cofferdam projects, including the cofferdam of Z4# main pier and Z5~Z6# abutment and auxiliary piers, and the cofferdams of 1~15# piers of the water approach bridge.
