Project Name:Blagoveshchensk Heilongjiang (Amur) River Bridge Project
Project Solution:520 tons of 4#15m Larssen steel sheet piles
Introduction:
The Heihe-Blagoveshchensk Heilongjiang (Amur) River Bridge spans across the Heilongjiang (Amur) River, extending from Changfatun, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, China, to Kanikurgan Village, Blagoveshchensk, Amur Oblast, Russia. The total length of the route is 19.9 kilometers, including 6.5 kilometers in China and 13.4 kilometers in Russia. The main bridge, which is 1,283 meters long and 14.5 meters wide, has a main span of 147 meters and is designed as a double-lane, cable-stayed bridge with low towers. With a total estimated investment of 2.47 billion yuan, the planned construction period of the bridge was three years, and the bridge was expected to be completed and open to traffic in October 2019. The bridge design follows the concepts of innovation, green, environmental protection, and sharing. After completion, it was expected that by 2020, the passenger and freight transportation volume between the two sides would reach 1.48 million and 3.09 million tons, respectively, thus opening a new chapter in the development of road connectivity between the two regions and realizing direct connectivity between two city-level regions in China and Russia. It would also serve as an important cross-border infrastructure for the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor and the Longjiang Silk Road Belt.
